Our Staff

Pastor, Bruce Venable will begin his ministry at First Baptist Church on February 19, 2012.  He comes to Monticello from First Baptist Church Lubbock, where he has served as Associate Pastor for University Life.  Bruce is a Graduate of Arkansas Sate University, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He and his wife Rita have two children, Chris and Ashley. 

Associate Pastor, Kevin Henry, has served on staff since October 2007.  He received his education from Ouachita Baptist University and a Masters in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Kevin has a passion for working with students.  He has been in on going youth ministry for 18+ years, and desires to reach teens for Christ.  He and his wife, Michele, have two children, Kayla and Jordan.

Minister of Music, Ron Paul,  has been serving in the local church for 20+ years leading worship.  Most recently he lead worship at De Queen First Baptist Church.  Ron is passionate about leading people to worship.  He and his wife, Gina, have two children, Karaline, and Christian.
